IC MEDIA is a press and communications agency which sells agenda-setting stories, content, photos and videos to national newspapers, websites, TV channels, streaming services and magazines.
Led and owned by a vastly experienced, multi award-winning journalist – Isaac Crowson – the company specialises in reliable and trustworthy journalism.
This comes in the form of delivering regular exclusives to clients and covering news across a growing geographical patch throughout the south of England
In just over two years, ICM has established itself as a major player in the market, with a growing team of enthusiastic reporters.
The company’s exclusives regularly appear on national newspaper front pages, the homepages of Britain’s biggest websites and at the top of the 9pm bulletin for Britain’s biggest news channel.
ICM is centered around the need – now, more than ever – for accurate, trustworthy and fearless journalism in an uncertain world.
It has extensive experience in covering any form of story, especially in delicate situations in which tact – and bravery – are needed.
This has included going under cover, huge violent protests, confronting criminals, murderers and gangsters.
ICM also works with corporate clients and makes use of journalism skills in other areas.
Giving chances to young and upcoming journalists plays a key and developing role in the business, as does championing journalism and its importance in society. IC Media owner Isaac Crowson was delighted to be part of the judging panel for the NCTJ Awards for Excellence, sponsored by Reuters.
IC Media is owned and run by multi-award-winning journalist Isaac Crowson.
Isaac’s career started as a trainee reporter with the Derby Telegraph at 19, where he completed his NCTJ diploma in journalism and established himself as a senior reporter and later crime correspondent, the youngest in the country.
Scoops included The Horrors of Aston Hall, where his investigation and ability to earn the trust of abuse victims at a mental hospital secured them justice.
It won Isaac, Scoop of the Year at the 2017 Regional Press Awards and Highly Commended for Campaign and News Reporter of the Year.
A Midlands Media Awards Story of the Year award followed, among other commendations during a five-year spell on his home city newspaper.
Isaac moved to the Ferrari Press Agency in 2018, where he spent a year. He brought in constant front page exclusives, splashes and spreads for every national publication.
He joined The Sun full-time in 2019, where he spent a fantastic four years. He established himself as a scoop-getter and was front-and-centre of major breaking news stories such as the murder of Sarah Everard, the London Bridge 2019 terror attack, and the terrorist murder of Sir David Amess MP. He also took part in numerous undercover investigations.
Isaac also worked regularly on the newsdesk, especially at nights under intense pressure managing a team of reporters and being on top of breaking news across the world.
A particular career highlight was a six-week spell in Ukraine, covering the Russian invasion. Isaac was the youngest journalist, at 29, in the country to cover the conflict on the ground and spent many weeks in Kharkiv, which was under heavy fire from the Russians.
Authoritative dispatches from the frontline and confronting war criminals earned him the MHP Breakthrough Award for journalists under 30, besting strong competition from every other reporter his age.
IC Media was launched in July 2023 for a new challenge and it has expanded into a rapidly-growing media agency.
The business provides agenda-setting exclusives and coverage to national newspapers, websites, TV stations, streaming services and magazines.
Isaac has an immense passion for journalism and, having worked so hard to establish himself in journalism, sees an important part of the business as bringing on talent and giving young reporters a break in this incredible and challenging industry.
Sam Hudson is a central part of the IC Media team and regularly reports on the ground and produces exclusives. Earlier this year, he reported from the scene of the Crans-Montana nightclub fire, providing coverage across print, digital, and broadcast TV.
Brian Flynn has over 30 years of experience in the media and communications industry. His career as a journalist has spanned local, regional and national newspapers, along with several years working at a national news agency. During more than 20 years at The Sun, Brian operated on the ground in more than 30 countries and held senior editorial positions including Night News Editor and running the paper’s US operation from New York. As The Sun’s Investigations Editor for many years, he specialised in safely and successfully conducting legally and logistically complex journalistic operations, often involving covert filming and infiltration of criminal enterprises to expose wrongdoing.
Anthony France is crime editor for the London Evening Standard. In addition to reporting on major incidents across the UK for over 30 years, Anthony has carried out many foreign assignments, including covering Oscar Pistorius’s murder trial and Nelson Mandela’s state funeral both in South Africa, the Tokyo Olympics and the Qatar World Cup.
